From 29 January to 3 May 2026, the ICI – Institut des Cultures d’Islam presents “De tes jours aux nôtres” (From Your Days to Ours), the first solo exhibition devoted to the artist Maymouna Baradji, at ICI Stephenson.

By inviting Maymouna Baradji to the ICI for her first solo exhibition, the curatorial team sensed that her work could resonate in a particular way within the Goutte d’Or district. In her drawings, in her approach to family narratives, everyday gestures and silent memories, one can perceive a close attention to context — to the places she moves through, and to the stories that settle within them. And even before this intuition took shape, Maymouna Baradji recounted how, a few months earlier, she had come very close to here to see the building where her parents lived when they first arrived in France. A visit in the rain, a phone call, memories stirred, and the diffuse feeling that something was being replayed there, between past and present.
